President/Owner HOLA: Helping Organizations Leverage Audiences
In 2016, Yessenia García-Lebrón left her 20-year career, serving the nonprofit and higher education community in the Greater Philadelphia area, and founded HOLA: Helping Organizations Leverage Audiences, a bilingual communications and marketing consultancy. A bold but necessary move to fulfill a long-standing desire to start a business and use her entrepreneurial skills to work with small businesses, nonprofits, startups, and Latino- and women- owned businesses so they, too, can establish themselves as entrepreneurs, grow their business, and enjoy economic freedom. Her career included working for local and national organizations such as Big Sisters of Philadelphia, CONGRESO de Latinos Unidos, Temple University, WHYY public radio and television, and the Law School Admission Council. In her last role, Yessenia was project lead for the DiscoverLaw.org website, managing its content, branding, analytics, social media platforms, and overall marketing and social media strategy. The website increased its followers yearly by 10% (2011-2016). Top pages visited grew by 33% and returning visitors by 28% (2015 over 2014). Yessenia volunteers with several organizations by providing social media coverage. She has worked with the Philadelphia Latino Film Festival, Mural Arts Philadelphia, and the Hispanic Leadership Association of New Jersey. In addition, she is a Co-Chair Alumni Association for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region, a Board of Trustee and Marketing Committee member for Appel Farm Arts and Music Center, and a Board of Trustee and Public Relations member for the Hispanic Leadership Alliance of New Jersey. With a background in psychology, Yessenia has the patience to listen and the skill to quickly understand business needs during initial consultations and ongoing projects with clients. She uses her training in education to communicate the steps of the project and provide step-by-step guidance for clients. Yessenia’s goal is to work together with you during your social media and content marketing journey and to meet your needs during the process with honesty and integrity. Yessenia earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Chestnut Hill College and a Master’s degree in educational administration from Temple University.
